TRITON, MOON OF SATURN - Once again, Captain Tinklepack and The Tinklepack Patrol (a.k.a. sidekick Little Jimmy and comrade Mook the Martian) have saved the galaxy from imminent peril at the hands of the nefarious Count Morpheus and his evil Sleep Ray.  "My hero!" the beautiful Princess Bellaluna was heard to remark.

No, wait… that isn't what happened.  Was I dreaming?  No, wait: this is supposed to be a press release, isn't it? Well, maybe we can spin this to our advantage, as the show in question - Piper McKenzie Presents The Tinklepack Patrol in The Curse of Count Morpheus - is in large part about dreams. The story is thus: When Pappy begs Mammy one freezing cold night to get out of bed and fetch him a glass of warm milk, it sets into action the moving panels of a comic strip in human form, a series of intertwining dream-narratives about Mammy and Pappy’s younger selves that encompass true crime, True Love, dancing girls and a magical Abraham Lincoln – a surreal delight for geeks and aesthetes of all ages!  Inspired by Scott McCloud's seminal aesthetic text Understanding Comics, and a raft of old comic books and comic strips - from Little Nemo in Slumberland and Li'l Abner to Buck Rogers and EC's Weird Science - this is the rare show that earns its self-professed status as a "romp." However, despite all the Mammys and Pappys and Lincolns and comics, all roads lead back to The Tinklepack Patrol, whose feats of interstellar derring-do will rivet viewers into their seats!  Go Tinklepack Patrol!
